About this coin
A decision coin with one name on each side, engraved directly into the metal using a high-precision fibre laser. The engraving is permanent — it won't tarnish, fade, or wear off. The love birds design is engraved as part of the coin alongside the names, so everything sits together as one piece.
It's a small thing to give, but a persistent one — something that tends to end up staying in a wallet, a pocket, or on a desk for a long time.

How it's made
Both the design and the names are engraved into the metal surface using a fibre laser — the same process used on all Etchfy metal products. The result is a permanent mark that sits flush with the surface rather than sitting on top of it.
The selected font applies to both sides of the coin. The design artwork — in this case the love birds motif — is engraved around the coin in a single production run alongside the personalised names.
Longer names and adjustments
The character limit of 12 works for most names, but if a name is long and starts to affect how it sits on the coin, we may make a small adjustment — shortening slightly or tightening the spacing. We'll always get in touch before making any change.
If you'd like to add something beyond the names — a date, a short word, a small addition — use the Order notes box. We'll let you know if it's possible to fit on the coin.
Proofs
For straightforward orders we'll engrave directly from your submission. If we need to adjust anything to make it work on the coin, we'll contact you first. You can request a proof in the Order notes if you'd like to see the layout before we engrave.
Delivery
All coins are made to order. Current production time is [X–Y working days]. Standard UK delivery takes a further [X–X working days] from dispatch. Express options are available at checkout.
