By purchasing from Etchfy - whether through this website or another channel - you agree to the terms set out below. If you have any questions, contact us before ordering.
1. About Etchfy
Etchfy is a trading name operated by [Full legal name / sole trader name], based in Yorkshire, United Kingdom. We produce personalised engraved products from our studio and sell them to consumers and businesses in the UK and internationally.

2. Placing an order
When you place an order with Etchfy, you are making an offer to purchase a product subject to these terms. A contract is formed when we confirm your order by email.
We reserve the right to decline or cancel any order at our discretion - for example, if a product is out of stock, if there is a pricing error, or if we are unable to fulfil the personalisation requested. If we cancel an order after payment, we will issue a full refund.
You must be at least 18 years old to place an order, or have the permission of a parent or guardian.
3. Personalisation & custom orders
All personalisation details - text, artwork, names, dates, and any other custom content - are entered by the customer at the point of order. You are responsible for checking the accuracy of all personalisation before submitting your order.
Engraving is copied exactly as entered. We do not proof-read or correct spelling, punctuation, or formatting unless a proof is explicitly requested or provided as part of the order process.
For orders involving custom artwork or logos, you confirm that you own or have the right to use the artwork provided. Etchfy accepts no liability for any intellectual property infringement arising from customer-supplied designs.
If you notice an error in your personalisation after placing an order, contact us as soon as possible. If the order has not yet entered production, we will do our best to amend it free of charge. Once engraving has started, amendments may not be possible.
4. Pricing & payment
All prices on the Etchfy website are displayed in pounds sterling (GBP) and are inclusive of VAT where applicable. Delivery costs are shown separately at checkout.
We reserve the right to change prices at any time. The price you pay is the price shown at the time your order is confirmed.
Payment is required in full at the time of ordering for standard consumer purchases. For business orders placed via the enquiry process, payment terms will be agreed as part of the quoting process. We accept the following payment methods: [list your accepted methods - e.g. credit/debit card, PayPal, bank transfer for business orders].
For business orders, invoices will be issued upon confirmation of order. Payment is due within [X] days of invoice date unless otherwise agreed in writing.
5. Production & lead times
All Etchfy products are made to order. Production begins after your order is confirmed and, where applicable, after a proof has been approved.
Estimated production times are shown on product pages and at checkout. These are estimates rather than guarantees. Production times may extend during busy periods - we flag this prominently on the website when it applies.
Where a digital proof is provided, production will not begin until you confirm your approval. Delays in approving a proof may affect your delivery date.
6. Delivery
We dispatch orders to UK and international addresses. Delivery costs and estimated timescales are shown at checkout and are separate from production time.
Delivery dates shown at checkout are estimates. We are not liable for delays caused by third-party carriers, customs processes, or circumstances outside our control.
Risk of loss and title for products passes to you upon delivery. If your order is lost in transit, contact us and we will raise a claim with the carrier on your behalf.
For international orders, the recipient is responsible for any import duties, taxes, or customs charges that may apply in the destination country. These are not included in our prices and are not within our control.
7. Returns & refunds
Because our products are personalised and made to order, the standard 14-day cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 does not apply to personalised items. We are therefore unable to accept returns or offer refunds simply because you have changed your mind on a personalised product.
We will, however, offer a full remedy — replacement, correction, or refund at our discretion — in the following circumstances:
- The item arrives damaged or faulty through no fault of the customer
- The engraving does not match the personalisation entered at checkout or the approved proof
- The wrong item is sent
To report a problem, contact us within [X] days of receiving your order with your order number and, where relevant, a photograph of the issue. We aim to respond within [X] working days.
For non-personalised products (if any), standard consumer returns rights apply. You have the right to return an item within 14 days of delivery for any reason, provided it is unused and in its original condition. Return postage is at the customer's expense unless the item is faulty.
Your statutory rights are not affected by these terms.
8. Intellectual property
All content on the Etchfy website - including text, images, product photography, and design - is the property of Etchfy or its licensors and is protected by copyright. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content from this website without our written permission.
By submitting artwork, logos, or designs to Etchfy for engraving, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to use that material solely for the purpose of fulfilling your order. We will not use, share, or display your artwork for any other purpose without your permission.
9. Disputes & governing law
If you have a complaint or dispute, please contact us in the first instance and we will do our best to resolve it informally.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes that cannot be resolved informally will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer based in the EU, you may also have the right to use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent update. Continued use of the website or placement of an order after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
We will not apply changes retrospectively to orders that have already been confirmed.
