What’s a decision coin actually for?
Originally a fun way to "flip" between two choices — but most customers buy them as a small, permanent gift with two names, rather than for actually flipping a coin. Either use works.
Can I put two different people’s names on it, or does it have to be a couple?
Either works. Many people order them for couples, but they’re just as popular with two names of friends, family members, or even a parent and child.
Is there a character limit on the names?
Yes — up to 12 characters per side, which covers most first names comfortably. If a name is longer, we may adjust it slightly to fit and will always check with you first.
Can I have a date or initials instead of full names?
Yes. The fields aren't restricted to full names specifically — initials, a date, or a short word can go in either field.
Is the coin the same design on both sides, or can it differ?
The design (the artwork around the edge) is the same on both sides — it's the two name fields in the centre that change per side.
What’s it made from, and will it tarnish?
Stainless steel, engraved with a fibre laser. It won't tarnish, rust, or fade with normal handling.
Is this a good gift for a long-distance relationship or friendship?
It's a popular choice for exactly that — something small enough to carry that represents two people who aren't always together.
Can I add something other than names, like a short phrase?
The two main fields are designed for names, but let us know in the order notes if you have something else in mind and we'll see what fits.
